This ongoing open studio class is designed for the student who loves art and is wanting to get more training in the technique or material of their choice. In an open studio format, students bring the art piece they are creating and share with the other participants and ask the teacher for any advice or suggestions. Ms. Crystal has working knowledge of a large variety of materials, styles and themes. As a part of the class, students will also participate in a class discussion themed around what it means to be an artist and how to share their art with the world around them. Discussions may include: How to capture your audiences attention? How to show interest and emphasis in your art? What is your style? How to create an art gallery? Examples of study: Drawing Watercolor Painting Acrylic Painting Clay Model Magic Charcoal Chalk Pastel Pen and Ink Patterns Mixed Media Basic Print Making Basic Sculpture Oil Pastels

Open studios are designed for students to work on their own piece of art using the materials of their choice. Please bring to each class the materials needed to finish students art piece. Example: Drawing Paper Pencil Eraser Black Sharpie

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
