US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner Level
During this weekly, ongoing class, students will learn to draw basic Pokemon. We will draw using a pencil first, and then, if time allows, the students may use colored pencils, markers, pens, and/ or crayons to color their drawings. Sometimes, the students can vote to either color or draw something else. If the students choose to draw something else, the students will be encouraged to color after class and share it with everyone during the next class or post it to the classroom wall to share with everyone. My goal for this class is to not only teach the students how to draw each Pokemon, but to also give the students practice and techniques to improve their artistic skills on a regular basis. Practice = progress. My hope is to help the students to eventually be able to draw the Pokemon on their own and to help them build their skills, as an artist. During the class, we can socialize and talk about our favorite Pokemon. ⚠️ Note: Sometimes, students request to draw Pokemon doing holiday activities like decorating a tree, going trick-or-treating, or celebrating a birthday. If you don't celebrate holidays, feel free to reach out and we can discuss it. Thanks! This class is student directed. Each week, the students will take turns choosing which Pokemon they want to draw. We will do as many Pokemon as we can during the time that we have. Knowledge of prior drawing classes will not be necessary since there will be new Pokemon to draw every week. Students can join this class at any point without getting lost. This is a no pressure class. We are just drawing, socializing, and having fun! Students may be shown Pokemon to choose from via the screen sharing feature on zoom. The website that will be shown is: https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokedex. If the student is slow at drawing, it's okay! We all create at our own pace, but unfortunately, we only have the time that we have so the student may be encouraged to finish their piece after class. The classes are recorded so the students are able to watch the recording, go at their own pace (by pausing the video), and try to draw it again. 2 cameras will be used during class. Students will have the option to share their drawing during class, if they want to. Students may be muted if there is a lot of background noise or if other students are talking. Please show them how to unmute themselves when they are ready to talk. Thanks! ⚠️ Note: For this class, I compiled a list of the more simple/ basic Pokemon for this class. These Pokemon were chosen because of their more simplistic designs. Some of these examples are Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. This list will be provided once the students are in the class. The students can choose Pokemon from this list to draw. If you would like to view the list beforehand, you can message me and I'd be happy to send it to you. The list contains almost 400 out of the 900 Pokemon out there, which is why it's not listed below. If your student wants to be able to choose any Pokemon then you may consider signing your student up for my other ongoing drawing Pokemon class. ⚠️ The list is subject to change. ⚠️ Note: If I don't have a day or time that works for you, please reach out and I'll see what I can do. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I am super excited to have the opportunity to teach your children on Outschool. I love teaching online. It is such a great opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people.
Before I talk about myself, I want to mention that if you want to take one of my classes, but you don't see a time or date that works for you, please reach out and message me and I'll see what I can do to accommodate you and your child. Also, if I'm not teaching an age-range you should reach out as well. I'm friendly and I try my best to be fair and accommodating, so let me know if there's something I can do to help!
I have an Associate's in Liberal Arts. I have a B.A. in Foreign Language, with a specialization in French. I have a minor in creative writing. I also have a M.A.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL), as well as a certification in TESOL. I received all of my degrees from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. I have a wide variety of experiences.
Even though I enjoy all of these subjects (French, English, creative writing, etc.), I have another passion and that is art. I have been doing art for as long as I can remember and I have taken many classes in art as well. I think that learning should be fun, interactive, and exciting and I hope to bring all of these things to the classroom. I am always super passionate about my art and even have started getting a following on social media for it. I would love to share my passion for art and creativity in the classroom!
Besides teaching, I mainly spend my days doing art and crafts, imagine that! I also love to penpal, make Youtube videos, and spend time with my husband and my dog.
I hope to see all of you in class! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. And thank you for stopping by.
