Art Club: Draw Animals and Creatures! (Flex)

Each week, we will draw, step by step, a new animal or mythical creature. I will upload a recorded lesson to draw along with, plus handouts and/or activities on that week's creature as well. Students have the week to do their drawing and show us in the classroom! Everyone's gets to look unique, depending on how they choose to color theirs (plus students are free to get creative in character design!) This opens a chance for students to comment on each other's work and share their thoughts and feedback. Furthermore, a related discussion topic will be posted each week. These are important, as they open up conversation and dialogue between students on a topic they share interests in. 

Here are the creatures we will draw:
Week one: Dragon
Week two: Wolf
Week three: Unicorn
Week four: Dinosaur 
Week five: Sloth
Week six: Mermaid
Week seven: Dog & Cat
Week eight: Kitsune

Students get to use their preferred coloring supplies, which can be anything from crayons, markers, or pastels - to ink, digital, and paint!) Students will also recieve a completion certificate at the end of the course. 
Students will have lots of fun, while honing their artistic skills and gaining many other proven benefits! 
If you have a learner that loves animals or art, this club is for them!

It's important to note: this is a flexible schedule class! This means there are no live meetings. Students watch recorded videos and view accompanying handouts in the online classroom. Interaction is vital and expected, however, via posted artwork and comments, as well as the weekly discussion topics. Students have the week to complete their work, on their own schedule!
