Description

Class Experience

Bzzzzz! Young artists will use drawing, painting, and collaging to create a colorful, mixed media Bee Landscape. As we create, students will naturally learn about composition, color theory, and layering techniques that will increase focus & attention to detail. Beginning students can follow along while advanced students may apply more detail & design to their work. This is a great project for artsy kids as it involves many steps, techniques, and materials that will engage their imagination!...

Detail-oriented artists may need time outside of class to assemble their artwork, which is okay because art is fun!

- Pencil & eraser
- Black, fine-tip marker or gel pen
- Scissors & glue stick
- Colored pencils or thin tip markers or crayons
- 1 sheet of heavy paper no bigger than 9x12
- 1 sheet of computer printer paper (or any white paper)
- Acrylic paints (yellow & light blue)
- Optional: watercolors
- Medium-sized round brush
- Rinse water & a paper towel to clean brushes.
** Be sure to protect your workspace & clothes as some of these materials will stain.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Parental Guidance is required for the use of scissors and glue.
