This lesson provides several positive learning outcomes.  By focusing on one theme and creating a relevant art project, the learners are able to gain a deeper understanding of how the elements of art are utilized in art as well as in life, and how together they provide the building blocks of art, as well as our world around us.  Other learning outcomes include positive communication and critical thinking skills.  Group discussion during the presentation and activity promotes positive communication, as does sharing the artworks in the concluding discussion.  Additionally, the learners will utilize critical thinking skills by applying, analyzing and synthesizing their prior knowledge and experiences into the class discussion as well as into the artwork they create.
