Celebrate the season by creating this mixed media Christmas Nutcracker. We'll start the class by learning a little bit about the history of nutcrackers and look at several examples. We'll start by drawing our nutcracker then we'll use a variety of mark making tools to add details and color to our clever creations. At the end of class, we'll embellish our noble nutcrackers with a little sparkle and share our final creations with one another. As we create artists will be encouraged to share their favorite holiday traditions with one another to help keep this a fun, light hearted and social class.

mixed media paper oil pastels, crayons or makers (bring the ones you have or choose your favorite) watercolor brush, water, paper towel glitter glue or glitter and glue
