US Grade 2 - 6
In this private lesson, multi-day art camp, the learner will choose any 5 art classes from my class list for 5 live sessions. We will be learning to draw the subject, background and use watercolor or pastel techniques to paint it. We will break down the subject into simple shapes and then refine our drawing. Watercolor painting techniques will cover wet on dry, dry brush, wet on wet, lifting color for mistakes and effects, washes and layers as needed for the project. Oil pastel classes will...

Watercolor Classes: Non-toxic, child-safe watercolor paint set. Small, medium, large watercolor paint brushes. Round brushes are easier to use but flat brushes are ok. Cup of water. White watercolor paper. (I highly recommend that watercolor paper is used for the success of the learner.) Pencil and eraser. Paper towel. Drawing Classes: White drawing paper Pencil and eraser or graphite drawing pencil set Blending stub (optional) Colored pencils, paint pens, markers as needed for specific project Oil Pastel Classes Only: Oil Pastels or Chalk Pastels Q-tips Palette Knife Optional (no kitchen knives) Pencil and eraser. Pastel, watercolor, or mixed media paper.
We will be using a cup of water with our watercolor paints. Please make sure all electronics are protected from water spills. Use only non-toxic, child-safe art supplies.
