Class Experience

In this four day camp students will create a different campfire item each day. Our sculptures will be tiny but mighty! We have a long class so that students can slow down, take their time, and create a high level of detail on each item. I will be making my sculptures over a live video feed while students work along with me. I will lead students through each step of the sculpting process. Students are encouraged to ask questions and engage with myself and classmates. This is a great class to sharpen your sculpting skills and learn about shapes and color - yes! We will be mixing clay colors! Come join the fun and make a campfire scene!

Class 1: Campfire and begin S'more
Class 2: Finish S'more and make Black Bear
Class 3: Tree and Burning Marshmallow
Class 4: Lantern and Hot Dog

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I will be teaching a range of art classes for young artists that want to have fun and teen artists that are more serious about their artistic skills. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and a minor in art history, as well as 2.5 years of classical realism atelier training. I am a full time professional artist and I love to teach! I have been teaching children and adults for the past 5+ years. I believe that having as much artistic training as you can early on will benefit your professional career as an artist. When I'm not painting and teaching, you will find me outside in the mountains. I love to go hiking, camping, and skiing. You might even catch me with my easel outdoors!
