As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing and painting lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Paper for practice and/or to place under paintings while working pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Good quality watercolor paper, 8X10, 8.5X11, 9X12 or 11X14 watercolor paint (pan watercolors OR tube watercolors work fine!) paper plate or palette for tube watercolors and acrylic paint cup of water larger paintbrush for painting sky; smaller to tiny brushes for painting landscapes and details Black acrylic craft paint (the inexpensive paint in 2 oz bottles works great!) Sharpies also work, but with less success White acrylic paint Toothpick or paperclip (for dotting stars with white acrylic)
