For this class, the teacher will show how to create chalk art, an inspired Andy Goldsworthy piece using nature, Louise Nevelson inspired sculpture, a nature water color scene, and an abstract flower painting! This class will meet one hour a day for five days in one week.
Learning Goals
Students will increase their knowledge of different artists by learning sculpture techniques in the style of Andy Goldsworthy and Louise Nevelson. Students will also become more aware of what materials you can use to create art by using sidewalk chalk to create an abstract shape picture. Lastly, students will paint outside or from a window using watercolor and Or tempera/ acrylic paint, learning how to paint from life and how to see objects abstractly. This camp is broken down to complete one project a day for five days.

Supply List
Day One- Chalk( various colors and a place outside to create) Day Two- students will go on a walk with the teacher to find leaves, flowers , etc. then they will put this together to create an Andy Goldsworthy inspired piece outside! (Note this is not a permanent piece of art) Day Three- plastic utensils, bottle caps, toilet paper rolls, anything that can be used for a sculpture. Glue, black acrylic paint. Day Four- watercolor paint, pencil, paper, place outside to create. Day Five- paint and paper.
