Assessment
Students are encouraged to share their work with Rozine and other learners, by holding their artwork up to the camera. Praise and recognition is awarded, regardless of skill level. Rozine stresses the importance of each artist liking their own work—and if they see something they don't like, she motivates them to find the solution to fix the problem. Suggested fixes are offered if the student struggles.

Class Experience

Learners have fun with Rozine's curriculum which includes seasonal pop art, cartooning, and graphic design. During each session, students learn to create an optical illusion of three-dimensional spheres.

Rozine guides students step-by-step, drawing straight and curved lines with pencil. She then shows students which parts to color black and those that need to stay white. She then demonstrates how to shade grey on specific white areas, and white on the black, in order to deceive the eye.

Students thrive in a creative environment where they are encouraged to develop their imagination and artistic expression.

Learning Goals

Drawing and coloring develops many talents, such as:
• fine motor skills
• spatial reasoning
• objectivity
• visualization
• self-discipline
• creative problem-solving
