In this 4-day camp, learning doodling will build over the four days up to the final culminating assignment that gives students the opportunity to use what they've learned the previous 3 days to create a unique work of art. Week 1Lesson 1Introduction to DoodlingStudents will learn Doodle Basics - what is a doodle, and how can we create art with doodles? I LOVE to draw! I love to draw and doodle myself, and as an art teacher, I have several years' experience in breaking down what seems like complicated drawing techniques into student-friendly, step-by-step processes, while allowing for and encouraging their own creative ideas to shine through.
Homework Offered
Not required, but students are welcome and encouraged to work on assignments and practice further between class sessions.Assessments Offered
Informal assessments will take place during class in the form of teacher observation and possible suggestions (as requested by students).Grades Offered
Certificates of Completion will be offered upon successful completion of this course. Letter or Number grades will be offered per parent request.
Required: paper (this can be from the printer, or any kind of drawing paper pencil, sharpener eraser Optional: Sketchbook (it's fun to keep a record of all of the doodles and zentangles in one place, and use them for reference) Thin black felt-tip marker, such as Micron or Sharpie colored pencils markers
