Class Experience
This class will dive into the basics of color theory for your young budding artist. Learn which colors mix to make orange, green, or purple! Learn the difference between primary and secondary colors. Practice using white or black to lighten or darker colors. Experiment with colors to create new exciting colors! How many new colors can we create?! In this class, we will discuss and practice mixing colors together by creating circle paintings or abstract paintings as we mix each new color....
Acrylic or tempera paint in: BLUE, RED, YELLOW, WHITE, BLACK ONLY (It is important in a color mixing class to not have access to premixed greens, purples, or oranges) White paper Small paint brush Rinse cup Plate or palette for mixing Paper towel
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
