In this 10 week course student's will explore art around the world with hands on projects, virtual tours and powerpoint presentations.
Class experience
-Each week students will cover the art in a different part of the world. -The class structure for each week will involve an introduction to a place in the world and some popular art forms in that place. Then we will take a virtual tour of art from this new country and have a discussion section where we will begin to formulate research questions related to the day's artwork. We will record our questions in a travel journal. Lastly we will start a hands on project or craft related to that...
Students will learn and review basic geography and facts about various countries. They will also learn about different kinds of arts and crafts native to these countries.
Handouts and supply lists will be provided one week before class.
