Description
Class Experience
I always enjoyed art as a child, and continued to take art classes at the college level and as an adult. I enjoy using art to teach and engage online learners. I have visited 19 countries and love learning about different countries and people! In addition to my own travels, I will be consulting several sources in order to make sure all information is balanced and Book sources include: "Global Art : Activities, Projects, and Inventions from Around the World" by Maryann Kohl "How to Talk to Children about World Art" by Isabelle Glorieux-Desouche "Geography Crafts for Kids" by Joe Rhatigan "Countries of the World" by Andrea Mills
Projects will require simple materials, such as paper, colored pencils, markers, watercolors, acrylic-type paint, paint brushes, scissors and glue. Each week's materials are listed in the class description. They will also be posted in the classroom. We will always need paper, a pencil and eraser each class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will occasionally use scissors in class. I will post scissors in the supply list during those weeks. Please monitor your learner's safety during any class we are using scissors.
