Class Experience
In this fun class we will briefly look at the art of Paul Klee and learn that he liked to make simple child-like drawings and he liked to paint nature. Paul Klee liked to use water colors and chalks. He often painted on burlap instead of canvas and he could paint with both hands. For the first 15 minutes of class, we will look at several of his works of art and discuss the colors, shapes and the materials he used to paint or draw on. For the last half of class we will create our own work...
I am an early childhood educator with over 20 years experience teaching young children. I do not consider myself an artist but I recognize the value of having art as a method of expression for young children. While completing my undergraduate degree, I completed one year of Art History courses as well as one year of Art Education courses with required practicums of teaching art to elementary age children and one half-year course of teaching art to preschool age children.
Children can choose to use: Crayons Colored pencils Chalks Watercolor paints Copy paper or art paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
