This course will introduce some great contemporary artists from around the world of our time. A variety of genres will be presented giving opportunity for learners to create an artwork based on their interpretations and inspirations.
Class experience
Learners will be introduced to some great contemporary artists (Yayoi Kusama, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Bansky, Mark Bradford, James Turrell, Kara Walker and Hannah van Bart to name a few), and have opportunity to create their own works of art using inspiration and information gained from these artists. Class participants will gain an introduction to some contemporary artists from around the world, which lends to an understanding of art appreciation.
