In this course we begin with the big questions of art. What is art? Who is the artist? Why was art created? and Art with a big A vs art with a little a. These are big questions with open ended answers. No one singular answer. And sometimes that is a challenge our brains don't like. But students will be able to discuss these questions and the answers they come up with. They will be challenged by the ideas of what is art while seeing works of art outside the status quo.
