This class must have a minimum of 3 students or it will be canceled and you will be refunded or you can transfer to another class. Students will learn a little about the life of Vincent Van Gogh and who he is. We will focus on his famous painting "Starry Night." Students will fall in love with Vincent and his paintings. I am the founder and teacher of Treasure Quest Learning Adventures where every class is a treasure-filled learning adventure. I love teaching outside the box. Specific curriculums put me inside a box that I find boring. I believe, when a child is learning something that will connect them to the world around them, they will learn it much more quickly and have fun will learning. Your child will not forget the learning treasure they have stored in their "treasure chest." I will teach them that their brain is the treasure chest and the wonderful "jewels" we learn will be safely kept in their "treasure chests." I am not an artist but I do have a great appreciation for art. I enjoy learning about the great artists, their lives, their artwork, and really focusing on the painting noticing all the details. I love connecting other cultures to basic mundane learning objectives so that students will find the joy in learning. I love what I do and my enthusiasm for learning is contagious. I don't address the fact that Van Gogh killed himself. But I have had students mention it. At that time I briefly mention that he did end his life because he was so depressed and tormented and then I move on. I don't tell how he did it.
