-Successful completion of a finished printClass Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 2
This will be a live class where students will interact with each other via the Zoom platform, so they will interact with each other there and have the opportunity to discuss and show off their completed artwork. The class will start with introductions and a demonstration of how to create a printing plate by using a pencil or pen to etch (draw) a design onto the Styrofoam. We will then use the water-based markers to add color to the printing plate. Our final step is to spray some water onto a sheet of heavy paper and then press the plate onto it to transfer the ink. We will finish up by sharing our completed prints and discussing our artwork. I am happy to run this class for single learners and do not cancel due to low enrollment.
Learning Goals
-Students will understand the printmaking process.
-Students will create a finished print.
