Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
In this club learners will work toward mastering the following math concepts: Numbers, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals, Time, Money, Measures, Graphing, Statistics & Probability, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Integers, Percentages, Ratios and Proportions.
My experiences as a home educator and private school teacher have afforded me over 10 years of experience teaching math concepts to students of all ages.
Students will be given daily individual practice assignments to complete and be turned back in to the teacher. This is required and will be reviewed at the beginning of the next class. If a student is struggling, they can post their concerns on the classroom wall for more clarification. Homework should not take more than 15 minutes per assignment.
Throughout the duration of the course parents will receive digital worksheets that will need to be printed for the learner to complete. Class Supply List: - a printer w/ink (for printing worksheets) - a ream of printer paper (for printing worksheets) - a notebook (for scratch paper and taking notes) - a pack of pencils with erasers - a pencil sharpener - a pair of scissors - a ruler - a glue stick - a pack of colored pencils
All homework, quizzes, and course assessments will be graded by the instructor. An overall grade/percentage will be given at the end of the course.

The instructor will let parents/guardians know what the learner is excelling at and whether they notice any challenges, throughout the course.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Some of our class curriculum will include games that are highly interactive and competitive. The learners will have a chance to compete against each other or their teacher as they play. These will be fair competitions, which means that not all students will win. Learners should be able to exhibit good sportsmanship regardless if they win or lose.

Safety and privacy are top priorities in this class. Parents, please be advised that the use of scissors can be considered a potential hazard. There is a possibility for injuries to occur if students are not properly supervised. Due to the virtual nature of this class, teachers can not be responsible for supervising students while utilizing tools such as scissors, rulers, sharp pencils, etc. Please make sure that your child is responsible enough to participate in this class and will have the proper supervision, when necessary.
In this club the materials will be presented to the learners via an interactive Canva or Google slideshow presentation (shared on the teacher's device, only). No external links will be clicked. No additional websites will be visited. No additional logins are necessary for the learners.
