Melody needs your help to find objects under the sea for her mom's birthday gift. She will take you on a journey under the sea in search of what is needed. Each object that you find will have math problems for you to solve before you can continue. Are you up for the adventure? In this class students will learn adding and subtracting 1 digit numbers. Each clue will get a little more challenging. The last clue will be the most challenging and will be adding 2 digits together but I will help them along the way. There will also be a riddle or 2 with multiple choice answers for everyone to pick from. Learners will need a white board and marker or a piece of paper and pencil. All learners will answer the clue by writing their answer on the white board or paper and then will show it to me after about 10 seconds. I will walk through the answer for those who may have gotten the answer wrong. At the start of class we will introduce ourselves and say where we are from (Canada, State, Africa...) and then go over the rules for the lesson and then do the escape room. If time allows we will either draw a picture or play a game of charades/scavenger hunt/Simon says. Students can choose the fun activity to end our time together. I will ask the students to mute themselves when the lesson starts. This will help cut back on the background noise. They will need to know how to unmute themselves for when they are asked a question. However, students can start class unmuted to say hi and chat for a bit but then will need to mute. Come join me in this fun valentine's Day escape room!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, my name is Tracey Campbell! I am so glad to be here and be part of your child's learning. I have more than 15 years experience in working with children. For the past 4 years I have worked in a school looking after kids ages 4-12 before and after school as well as helping kids one on one with math and English. I believe that every kid matters and that learning should be made fun. As one who learns best through hands on, I teach that way to help the kids remember better and have fun at the same time.
I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. I love going for walks, hanging out with friends, making different craft projects like painting and horseback riding. My desire is to see your child excel in everything they do and to help them along the way!
I'm excited to teach your child!
