US Grade 3 - 6
This camp will teach students how to write a 5-paragraph argumentative essay. As a one-week intensive summer camp, students will complete the entire course within just five days. Schedule: Step 1:Gathering Evidence, Take a position and Introductory Paragraph: Students will look at sample topics to pick from, gather the evidence needed, take a position of which side they are on and begin the introductory paragraph with a hook by looking at examples. I have a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and over 20 years of teacher educational experience.
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to work on the daily assignment given following the end of each day.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
A letter grade and a formal assessment will be given to the students at the end of the week.Grades Offered
A one page handout will be available for each day of intensive camp week.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
