Description

Class Experience

In this two-week class, I will walk students through the skills needed to understand and confidently answer problems with area of plane figures. I will demonstrate the steps needed to solve the problem and have the students watch. Then the students will work through several problems with me and be encouraged to talk me through solving the problems. After this, students will be able to do our last few problems of the class on their own using the steps we've practiced.

By the end of the two weeks, learners will be able to solve area of triangles, squares, rectangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, and circles.

I'm a certified math teacher and have taught middle school math for 8 years. I've worked with students who have learning disabilities as well as students who are gifted.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
