Description
Class Experience
The learner will be taught how to be a scientist and conduct simple experiments. The experiments will cover the density, absorption, and removal of oil in the real world, dissolve sugar, and color combination. the engineering challenges will engage the learner in problem-solving, creativity, and exploration. Dancing raisins: 2 glasses, clear soda or carbonated water, plain water, 1/3 cup of raisins for each glass Ocean Oil Spill: water, large container (9x13), green modeling clay, cooking oil, cheesecloth/gauze, dish soap, spoon, small toy animal, M & M Rainbow: M & M, paper plate, water
Learners will be assessed informally through their actions in the experiments and discussions.
