In this one time class, students will learn different animals that live in the arctic. We will use different yoga poses to act out these animals. We will listen to a story and have fun pretending to be these animals.

Come learn about arctic animals through physical activity! This is a very interactive class. In this one time class, we will learn what the arctic is and animals that live there. We will look at visuals of these animals and use yoga poses to transform into them. Animals include: polar bear snow goose moose snowy owl puffin walrus husky beluga reindeer harp seal lemming arctic fox arctic hare arctic wolf After learning each animal and yoga pose, we will listen to an interactive story...
Students will learn what the arctic is, the animals that live there, and yoga poses corresponding to each animal. We will use comprehension skills to listen to a story and use the yoga poses we just learned when we hear an animal in the story.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class involves physical movement. Please make sure your child has a safe space so that he/she will not be injured during class. I suggest a parent be nearby to make sure the learner can safely perform the movements.
