Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
In this class students will learn about several arctic animals through a mini lesson, song, and finger play. No prior knowledge needed. They will also have the chance to participate in a circle time as well as show and tell, and get to make a craft and play a game having to do with arctic animals. My hope is that they are involved in a way that they feel comfortable, whether that's being involved vocally with information to share or just watching, singing, and playing along with us. I know that every child is different with different needs and learning styles. I will make sure every child has a chance to participate if they would like to and will give them several opportunities to do just that. I look forward to meeting your child and hope they enjoy this fun class!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I hold a current bachelor's degree in elementary education and a teaching certificate in early education. I taught kindergarten for 1 year before having my own children and taught preschool for 3 years. I have worked with children for the past 20 + years in a variety of settings, including substitute teaching, online tutoring, volunteer work, and raising my own children, currently ages 8-15. I have worked with children and youth in various settings. I am also currently the president of the children (and their teachers and leaders) in our religious organization (a 3-5 year calling). The children are ages 18 months to 11 years old. I love working with children and seeing them learn and grow!
