Class Experience

In this class we will learn about the various styles of American houses and buildings, examples included but not limited to the following: Gothic, Queen Anne, Art Deco, Craftsman, Cape Cod, MidCentury Modern, and Prairie. Additionally I will include where these types of houses are found throughout the United States. I will use a combination of Google Slide presentation, Nearpod, and pictures that clearly show the characteristics of each style. I will include videos, when applicable. Before diving into the lesson, I will include a warm up question to gauge student knowledge. At the end of class I will send out an handout to each learner, to inspire them to find at least two style of home within their neighborhood, or maybe even their own house!
