Calling creative kids! This ongoing maker club introduces many aspects of making architecture in a fun, interesting and hands-on way. Open-ended projects allow learners to explore, invent and design their own unique creations. Each of the projects start with building or drawing techniques to learn, try and practice. This class is taught in English.
Each week, students should have white printer paper, cardstock (white and a few colors if possible), markers, colored pencils, tape, glue stick, scissors, ruler, pencil. Some additional supplies are needed for some weeks: WEEK 1 Card City WEEK 2 Wrap around House WEEK 3 Paper tower - HOLE PUNCHER WEEK 4 Square Foot House- GRAPH PAPER WEEK 5 Nature Section - ONE piece of fruit or a vegetable cut in half (either a bell pepper, orange or apple cut crosswise, pomegranate) Students will be drawing the cross section of the fruit, so any fruit with skin/peel, layers and compartments would work great! WEEK 6 Fractal Forest - CARDBOARD, one piece approximately 12" x 12" or larger WEEK 7 Tessellation Tiles WEEK 8 Infinity Triangles - 45 degree TRIANGLE
