In Lesson 2, students will be introduced to the world of "architectural design". We will review what “architecture” is. Then, we will explore the second basic element of design - the "Line" and the use of "Line Segments" in the world of design. After a demonstration of the project, students will work in class to create their "Line" structures. Line structures will be made of straws and paper clips. Students may share their work with their peers at the end of class if they like. Students may ask questions in class and may comment on each other’s creations. The lessons in the “Architecture Rocks” course build on the previous lesson. Students are encouraged to complete Lesson 1 before registering for Lesson 2 and Lesson 2 before registering for Lesson 3.
