The student will examine historical events and archaeological artifacts by examining the Indiana Jones films. We will explore the true artifacts, history and theories presented in the films, and compare them to the actual history, latest research, and most recent discoveries. We will examine each of the historical events of the movies and the artifacts sought after by Indiana Jones, and compare them to the true events and artifacts of history. Students will grow their understanding of Archaeologist, their jobs and the artifacts that they seek.
I have a huge amount of experience teaching a wide array or history classes, as well as a sizable background in both the teaching and studying of anthropology and archaeology. I have taught World History, Ancient World History, Modern American History, World Geography, Economics and Civics/American Government at the High School Level, as well as I have taught 8th Grade History and 8th Grade Physical Science. In addition, I have a huge passion for ancient history and ancient civilizations.
Homework Offered
Student work will include viewing the class videos each week and participating in class discussions via the Outschool Classroom.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

There will be no formal assessment or grade for this course, unless otherwise requested by the parents.Grades Offered
Ensuring that students have viewed the movie prior to the class in which it will be discussed. Additionally, multiple classes will discuss the history and components of various religions (Class 1- Judaism, Class 2- Hinduism, & Class 3- Christianity). The information needed to understand the history and archaeology during these classes will be taught from a purely objective viewpoint. The teacher will not share or express his beliefs in regards to any of these topics.
Students will need to watch the Indiana Jones films each week prior to watching that weeks class video.
