Class Experience

This beginner Arabic class will literally go over the ABCs of the Arabic language. Students will start with zero knowledge and end it able to recognize and recall the Arabic letters as well as begin their Arabic reading journey, while also being able to identify feminine and masculine nouns. Arabic reading is the foundation of learning the language and equips learners with the building blocks to enable them to continue their language learner journey.

Students will be provided with weekly printable handouts that will allow them to practice identifying and writing the letters they are learning that week.

Arabic text is truly unique since each letter can create four different sounds depending on the vowel attached to it. Vowels in Arabic are small symbols and not stand alone letters which makes it particularly fascinating. Once you get the hang of this, you will be able to read any Arabic text!

Marhaban!

I'm so glad you've decided to teach your learner Arabic and I hope I can take part in their language learning journey!

I’ve been privileged to have grown up a bilingual speaker, which has given me a massive appreciation for languages. I’m passionate about bridging the gap between Arabic and English and using my skillset and background to help uncover the beauty of Arabic to those who want to learn it and facilitate their language learning.

My background has given me a unique skillset and personality which has enabled me to experience amazing opportunities, one being working for the UN as a consultant for two years. I’m a firm believer that each language you speak or learn activates a different aspect of your personality and opens unique doors of opportunities and experiences that others might not be exposed to. If you’re thinking about learning a language, go for it! You won’t regret it.

I enjoy seeing my students progress from knowing nothing about Arabic to slowly building their language skills and I would love to join your learner on their language learning journey.

Having lived, studied and worked in Libya, Spain, Switzerland and the UK have peaked my interest in culture, languages and politics. I have a masters degree in International Studies and Diplomacy and I currently work as a content executive in my day job.

I like my lessons to be fun and interactive. I design my classes using different mediums and methods (video, text, puppets etc.) to keep learners engaged and learning with the aim that all my lessons are enjoyable and beneficial at the same time. I like to use creative imagination and story telling whenever possible to help learners grasp different concepts. I’m also a technology enthusiast and love incorporating it in my virtual class whenever I can to make lessons extra appealing to learners.

I hope to see you in class soon!

Shukran!
