Assessment
Learner progress will be assessed daily during each lesson as the teacher sees and hears that the student has become independent in reciting the information learned during the calendar routine. Students will be able to ask and answer questions in both languages. Students will have individual turns to demonstrate progress and understanding. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class as well as how they are using learned information outside of class.

Mrs. Thaljeya - Hello everyone my name is Thaljeya Hamdan. I am from a city in Palestine called ‘Ramallah’. I am a mother to 3 beautiful children. I immigrated with my family to the United States when I was 11 years old. I studied in Chicago and I have moved back and forth ever since. I have worked half of my life with kids as a babysitter and I have tutored both English and Arabic.

Mrs. Sondos - Ahlan wa Sahlan! My name is Mrs. Sondos and I teach Arabic! I am half Egyptian and half Syrian and I can understand almost every Arabic dialect out there. I’m a tutor and part time teacher. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2021 and I have been tutoring and teaching since 2019. I have always believed that everyone, regardless of age, deserves a fair chance at learning any subject out there. I’ve seen students struggle and I’ve seen them succeed and have realized that the most important key to success is building a strong foundation in the subject they’re trying to learn. I want to be the one to help others build and maintain that strong foundation that they’ll take with them wherever they go! I have experience teaching kids as young as 4 years old how to read, write and speak Arabic at the basic levels and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. I love the Arabic language and I can’t wait to help your child explore its beauty with me!

Mrs. Sandra M. - Hello, I am Sandra Mouawad. I am Lebanese, and I have a 5 year old daughter. I believe that teaching kids Arabic is difficult and challenging but very essential to their development and future.

Mrs. Dana - Hello my name is Mrs. Dana and I’m so Excited to be your Arabic language teacher. We are going to have lots of Fun and we will learn a lot! I live in California, I’m originally Lebanese. I have worked part time as an Arabic translator and culture advisor for Disneyland and Expo Dubai 2020. I would love to introduce and teach our wonderful rich language to my kids. I am looking forward to meeting you , and learn about you. See you soon! Love Mrs. Dana

Mrs. Haywood - I have completed 15 post secondary credits in the Arabic language at North Central University and The University of Minnesota. I have been teaching basic Arabic reading and writing skills for 10 years . I taught Arabic to children in grades Pre-K through grade 2 at a charter school for four years as well as a private school that I founded for seven years. This is my second year year teaching Arabic on Outschool. I regularly meet with Arabic tutors to increase my skills and knowledge in this subject as well as to gain experience with various spoken dialects. I currently speak and teach Modern Standard Arabic.
