In this course, we will practice beginner to intermediate Arabic conversation for teens with topics related to subjects such as elementary math, language arts, social studies, science, music, pop culture, food, and art. Content builds.

 Week 1
Lesson 1
Foods - Likes and Dislikes
This lesson is about various foods and discussing whether we like them or dislike them. Vocabulary will include a list of food items.
Lesson 2
Having a Get Together
This lesson builds on the previous lesson's vocabulary by having students imagine we are all bringing food to a get-together. We will say what everyone is bringing.
 Week 2
Lesson 3
What do you feel like?
Continuing from the previous lesson, we will combine foods together to make more intricate dishes, then ask which we feel like eating.
Lesson 4
What do you feel like doing?
This lesson is about asking what people feel like doing and how to make plans with each other.
 Week 3
Lesson 5
Making plans
This lesson builds on the previous lesson by building on including other people in our plans.

Things to do
This lesson is a vocabulary building lesson that adds a lot of other things we might do - a lot of verbs here!

I need a...
This lesson focuses on how to ask for things we need. The vocabulary will be focused on school supplies. We will also learn how to ask to borrow things.

Descriptions - Colors and Numbers
This lesson adds the vocabulary for colors and numbers so that we can begin to use them in our classes.

Places around town
This lesson is about places around town - various buildings and locations. We will also practice location words, like next to, between, near, far, etc.

This lesson is about giving directions and how to get from one place to another.

This lesson is about the different rooms in a house and builds on the vocabulary of the previous one.

  • Students will improve their vocabulary and confidence in Levantine Arabic in a variety of topics with the goal of enhancing their fluency.
I am a native Arabic speaker and am also an Arabic instructor with many years of experience.

Details: Every week, homework will be to review our vocabulary and weekly grammar points. It's very important to review between classes in order to ensure a strengthening of the language.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
