Description
Class Experience
In this ongoing, once a week course, we will practice Arabic conversation in the Levantine dialect. Class will be conducted in a mix of English and Arabic to help beginners ease into the language. Topics covered will vary from week to week, and will usually be focused on school subjects including language arts, math, science, social studies, music, and art. I implement story-telling and drawing as a way to solidify vocabulary, and so students can expect to create an ongoing vocabulary list...
Students will improve their vocabulary and confidence in speaking Levantine Arabic in a variety of topics with the goal of enhancing their vocabulary and conversation skills. A side-effect may be that they will learn about other topics as well! :)
I am a native Arabic speaker and am also an Arabic instructor with over 10 years of experience.
There will typically not be homework for this class, other than to review vocabulary.
A learner progress assessment can be provided via parent request.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
