Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in Spanish.
Students will learn the foundations of Spanish through games, activities, and songs! They will learn essential phrases and be able to introduce themselves and talk about themselves in Spanish!
I received a B.A. in International Studies (European Studies) with a minor in Spanish language in 2018. During university, I studied abroad in Spain two separate times. I also grew up 15 minutes from the U.S.-Mexico border in a family of native Spanish speakers. From my experiences, I have gained knowledge in both Latin-American Spanish and Castilian (Spain) Spanish. I have also worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in-person and online for over 4 years. My knowledge of language acquisition for young learners of English is easily applied to teaching the Spanish Language.
Optional homework after each class.
I will provide worksheets, virtual flashcards, and games for the learner to practice the content outside of class. For the final lesson, learners will need a pencil and a print-out of their final project poster template (provided after the 3rd lesson). If you do not have access to a printer, any Letter/A4-sized paper will suffice! Students are encouraged to color and decorate their final projects, so crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc. would be helpful to have handy!
Private written feedback is given after each lesson. Students will complete a final project.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
