Beginner - Intermediate Level
This Appreciation of Dance class will explore the rich history, cultural significance, and various styles of dance from around the world. Students will embark on an 8-week journey, delving into topics such as ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, traditional folk dances, and more. The class is structured to include interactive discussions, video demonstrations, and live practice sessions. Learners will have the opportunity to engage with the instructor and peers, sharing their insights and experiences. No prior dance experience is required; just a passion for learning and exploring the art of dance. This class will cover dance styles in lecture and activity format, as well as students engaging with the dance form being covered. Students should come to class dressed comfortably, with appropriate footwear, and a bottle of water.
