Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have worked with young people ages 6 through 23, for over 20 years. I have also worked at numerous colleges and universities around the U.S. as an Admissions Officer, International Admission Enrollment Manager, Financial Aid Advisor, and Academic Advisor. My most recent professional experience was with the state government, managing labor grants and working with staff to create and develop apprenticeship programs statewide.

I teach courses in Group College Counseling, College Admissions and Planning, Financial Aid and Scholarship Literacy, College Tours, College Admissions Process, Financial Aid and FAFSA College Application Process, Apprenticeship 101, Basic Plant Nursery 101, Natures Herbs and Herbology for Kids, Mentoring (How to Get a Mentor).

I have degrees in Sociology, Legal Studies and African American Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I also studied International MBA, and Instructional Technology courses at the University of South Florida.

My family's approach to learning is to always have an open mind and not to be afraid to ask questions. I believe in collaborate teaching and learning and that group learning can be supportive and motivating.

Something fun and personal. I love creating plant nurseries. So much so, I travelled last summer to study at Songhai Center in Porto Novo Benin, for 3 months (90 days) learning agricultural production, animal production and sustainable agricultural entrepreneurship.
