Class Experience

Apple pie, apple cider, applesauce - yum!  Apples are not only delicious, but they are the best fruits to keep your tummy full, your brain focused, and your heart healthy. Apples are a fruit and one of the most popular foods in the world. Where do apples come from?  How do apples grow?  What are the different kinfds of apples?  In this lesson we will learn about apples through interactive discussion, movement and song, crafting, and making an apple themed snack!

Learners will know where apples come from
Learner will know that there are different varieties of apples that have different colors and tastes
Learners will be able to identify the parts of an apple

No homework

Apple Peanut Butter Teeth snack:
apple slices
peanut butter
mini marsh mellows. (other spreads can be used in place of peanut butter)

Paper Plate Apple Craft: 
Paper plates (I used the smaller dessert sized plates, but regular size would also work)
Red, green, & brown construction paper
Glue sticks
