Class Experience
In this one time class we will make a jar gift set for our favorite horse(s) or horse lover. This gift is perfect for any horse lover who likes to bake. We will put all the dry ingredients in the jar, write down the recipe for the person receiving the gift and finalize the gift by tying on the recipe. We will make one gift jar during class, but students will easily be able to make more after class by themselves. I will post the instructions to the classroom after class for them so they...
Ribbon or string of choice for tying recipe to jar Paper for writing the recipe 1 quart size mason jar (with lid- screw on lid is fine) a large mouth funnel is helpful in putting the ingredients in the jar, but not mandatory measuring spoons for measuring out the ingredients into your jar scissors for cutting your ribbon and photograph flour old fashioned oats baking powder baking soda salt cinnamon brown sugar flaxseed meal (optional) horseshoe- New or used. If used make sure the horsehoe nails are removed and that their are not sharp places on the shoe. photograph to put in the picture frame (this can be of you, the horse, their rider, ect)- approximate size 3 1/2 by 4 but it can be a little bigger and we will cut it to size. Glue ribbon, rope, twine, ect to make a hanger for your picture frame
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be using scissors during this class.
