This class can be used as a stand-alone class to cover the content portion of AP World History. Or it works great as a supplement to an AP World History course in school, especially those in which the teachers are asking the students to read and learn content outside of the classroom.

Refer to syllabus for details on what Unit 2 of AP World History covers c. 1200-1450

Incorporated each week is both a thematic approach: how the content fits into the themes of history (Social, Economic, Political, Technology, Culture/Religion, Environmental). Students will also receive instruction in the use of historical thinking skills: contextualization, cause/effect, compare/contrast, and chronology.

Each week, students will be provided with a teacher-made video (approximately 30 minutes long), covering the content. They will be asked to read supplemental material, answer practice multiple choice questions, and write answers to short-answer questions.
