US Grade 9 - 11
Oftentimes, in the classroom, teachers rush through the final two units of AP World History (covering Cold War, decolonization, and globalization.) Students who attend this class will be provided with a content review, practice multiple-choice questions, and a significant amount of resources to read, use, or watch to continue to fill in the missing pieces of Units 8 & 9 (based on the College Board curriculum for AP World History.) The first half of the class is presentation format (via shared PowerPoint) and students are encouraged to ask questions. The second half of the class will use either Nearpod or Kahoot to allow students to participate in the multiple-choice review. (Kahoot and Nearpod do require access through a browser, however, students only need to enter their first names.) At the end of class, I will share a document that contains a variety of Unit 8 and 9 review materials. Students who take this class should have been enrolled in AP World History for this school year and are signed up to take the exam this May.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of Units 8 & 9 of AP World History (covering Cold War, decolonization, and globalization.)
