Day 2: Key Themes & Analysis - Discussion of key themes in world history (e.g., trade, religion, technology). - Analyzing primary and secondary sources. - Practice questions on key themes and source analysis. Day 3: Multiple Choice Strategies - Strategies for approaching multiple-choice questions effectively. - Practice multiple-choice questions from past exams. Week of April 14th: Day 4: Document-Based Question (DBQ) - Understanding the components of the DBQ essay. - Analyzing sample DBQ prompts and documents. - Writing a DBQ essay under timed conditions. Day 5: Continuity & Change Over Time (CCOT) - Understanding the CCOT essay format. - Analyzing sample CCOT prompts and timelines. - Writing a CCOT essay under timed conditions. Day 6: Comparative Essay - Understanding the Comparative essay format. - Analyzing sample Comparative essay prompts and comparative analysis. - Writing a Comparative essay under timed conditions. Activities:Each session will include a mix of lecture-style teaching, practice questions, and timed essay writing. Materials: we will use the released 2022 and 2023 AP World exams as practice.
