Class Experience

Is your child taking an AP Language and Composition class or preparing for the AP Lang exam? 

As an experienced AP Lang teacher and tutor, I have worked with hundreds of students, helping them to learn how to write AP Language essays more effectively, giving them the confidence they need not only for the AP Lang exam but also for their future college courses.

Each lesson will be customized to the learner's needs. This can include, but is not limited to, concept review, homework assistance,...

Students will improve their understanding of the key concepts of the AP Lang course, thus improving their writing development and style.

I've taught AP Lang for 4 years; I've taught honors/Pre-AP English for 6 years. Additionally, the AP Lang tutorial videos I have created for my channel, Coach Hall Writes, have been recognized by fellow AP Lang teachers as a valuable resource to help students prepare for the exam.

Depending on the situation, students may need to complete additional work outside of class.

Students will be offered feedback on their ideas, content, and writing as needed throughout each session.

1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
