Strategies for approaching any poem, whether for a portion of the AP Lit exam or for another assignment or purpose 3. Tips & tricks for maximizing your score on the AP Lit exam's multiple choice section, particularly with the poetry selections

Pre-Requisites
Students should be currently enrolled OR planning to enroll in an AP English Literature & Composition course with a goal of taking the AP exam in the spring of their course year. No poetry expertise required!

I have taught English in a public high school setting for 13 years, with 8 of those years exclusively dedicated to teaching AP English Language and AP English Literature courses. My specialty is helping students become better writers, and I have a particular passion for helping them overcome their fears of poetry being "too hard" and "not making sense."
