2-4 hours per week. Homework and online labs will be assigned, students are provided with keys once they finish an assignment to further reflect upon their work and identify where they might have misconceptions. Then, they are to bring those incorrect answers to office hours, or utilize the teacher through their personal support channel to correct any misconceptions and practice correct understanding prior to moving on.Assessment
Students are evaluated on whether they meet standard/understand how to apply and utilize their learning. Once they show mastery, they may move forward.Class Experience

Intermediate Level
This class covers the entirety of the AP Chemistry curriculum as outlined by the College Board. The AP Chemistry course, led by Teacher Nicole, offers a dynamic blend of live and recorded lessons that students retain access to throughout the school year, enhancing continual learning. This course covers Semester 1 of AP Chemistry, enriched with online laboratory exercises for hands-on practice, to be followed by the Semester 2 class beginning in February. Nicole's personalized teaching approach focuses on deep concept understanding and advanced problem-solving techniques, ensuring students are well-prepared and confident for the AP exam without any surprises.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Nicole is a 15 year veteran AP Chemistry teacher, with a valid teaching certificate. Prior to earning her M.Ed., she was a field geochemist whose favorite contracts were working on Kiluea Iki in Hawaii, and nuclear waste cleanup at the Hanford Superfund Site. She brings a wealth of lived experience in field science, as well as laboratory and teaching expertise, and a passion for both STEM and for seeing her students achieve mastery!
