As a current AP Chemistry teacher there never seems to be enough time in the classroom so I designed this class to provide an additional opportunity to refine learners’ knowledge and skills needed to be successful on the AP Chemistry exam.

Class experience

US Grade 9 - 12
The goal for the class is to help the learner feel more confident when taking the AP Chemistry exam by practicing timed FRQs, using the College Board Guidelines to grade the FRQ, to learn and review content, and identify topics learners need to study before taking the AP Exam.
I have been a full-time high school science teacher since 2007. During my 15 years teaching 14-18 year-olds, I have taught Biology I and Honors, regular and AP Environmental Science, as well as general science and proficiency prep classes. My main responsibilities for the last 10 years have included Chemistry I, Chemistry Honors, and AP Chemistry.
Homework Offered
The learner will be given links to a short Free Response Question and Answer Key so that they can continue practicing for the AP Chemistry exam.
0 hours per week outside of class

Grades Offered
Scientific calculator, pencil, and notebook paper.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
This class will require students to access the College Board website. No account is needed, although students who are currently enrolled in AP Chemistry through their high school may have an account. We will be using links to prior exams and scoring exams the College Board.

I will also be using Google Slides and Jamboard during classes to present information and how to solve problems.
We will use publicly distributed material from the College Board, the organization that approves and oversees AP courses.
