Advanced Level
This course is recommended for students who plan to take the AP Exam in May 2024. Students should be currently enrolled in AP Calculus BC or have previously taken AP Calculus AB. Prepare for the BC portion of the AP Calculus Exam with confidence in our 4-week AP Calculus BC Exam Review. Designed for students seeking to excel in this challenging subject, our small group format ensures personalized attention and comprehensive coverage of the eight essential units of calculus. By utilizing a mix of short instruction and AP style questions, students will learn to adapt the content they know to maximize success on the exam. We will meet through the Outschool online platform and use a collaborative whiteboard to solve problems. I will use a warmup to assess prior knowledge and design the instruction to build areas of understanding that need development within the content focus of the week while preparing students for the style of questions seen on the AP Exam. Outside of class students will have a timed assignment to practice Multiple Choice and Free Response AP level questions. Step-by-step video explanations for each assignment will be provided to help students learn and review independently. In addition to comprehensive calculus instruction, students will also learn effective strategies for approaching multiple-choice and free-response questions, time management, and utilizing the full potential of the graphing calculator.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the concepts necessary for successful completion of the AP Calculus BC Exam.
