In this ongoing drawing class, students will be given a starting template (or directed to draw) of a common, known object. The students are to work during class to come up with a drawing that is anything BUT the expected object. Using imagination and creativity, students will turn a common object into a masterpiece of their own. This is a laid back, social drawing class. Students are expected to be working on their drawing art during class, but small talk will be acceptable and even encouraged during class. At the end of the class, even if students are not finished yet, they will have the opportunity to share the drawing they came up with. I will NOT be instructing on art techniques. This class is mostly about creativity and meeting others with minds that think outside the box. No experience is required for this class, but appreciating art and ability to focus on it is key. This class is ESL friendly. The teacher has a lot of experience teaching English as a Second Language and is ready to adapt any lesson. It is a good change to practice speaking English. There are times available for European and Asian students. These classes involve English support. Class routine: Welcome Draw/Explain template or starting point Drawing and social time Show case Goodbye ***JOIN ANYTIME*** This class does not follow a schedule of art. Templates will change each time. The key is to draw anything BUT the true object. So pick up anytime and see what you can create! Printed template is NOT required. You can sketch the template or trace it from the screen once you join. Don't hesitate! Grab some things to color with and let's go! CLASSROOM POLICIES: -Please try to be on time. In the case of a screen sharing class, it may be difficult to help late students if they need. -Be sure students have on shirts and bottoms (if it is a dancing/moving class). -I don’t always mute students, but I will if the background is too noisy. Please be sure your student knows how to unmute when it is time. PARENTS/CARETAKERS: Please be sure to stay off camera as much as possible for the comfort and safety of all learners. SIBLINGS: I can accommodate for siblings if the class is age appropriate by opening another slot, upon request. If the sibling is not enrolled in the class, please be sure they are not seen on camera in order to be fair for all students enrolled. If more than one sibling is enrolled, they may share 1 device. REFUNDS: I do not do last minute transfers or refunds, unless I must miss class for some reason. Outschool uploads our class video after every class and students will be able to view the class later. If you must miss an ongoing class you can choose to unenroll to avoid payment, but the spot may or may not be filled when ready to re-enroll. Otherwise, you can refer to the video. FEEDBACK: I am working on building a set of classes that are fun, engaging, and meaningful. Please message me with how I can make my classes better if you are willing. I ask that problems come to me first to see if I can solve them. I am a very caring and passionate teacher and I just ask for a chance to offer satisfaction. HAVE FUN! =================================================================================================== Art Drawing Creative Imagination Social Gifted and Talented GT Directed Drawing Sketching Painting ESL English English Conversation
