Student will learn strategies both abstract and concrete strategies to manage their anxiety symptoms. Each class will cover one to two strategies each class to help students cope with their anxiety symptoms. Students will learn breathing techniques and movements that will be able to help youth stabilize their anxiety symptoms. Teacher will use lectures, games and video clips to be able to teach student about the strategies and gain more knowledge about anxiety. Students will receive resources through out the course that they can practice outside of the class. Students will interact with teacher to share their experience with situations that cause them to feel nervous.
Learning Goals
Students will learn breathing methods such as 5, 4,3, 2, 1 method as well as abstract journaling and worry box activities to help cope with their anxiety. Students will utilize their coping techniques outside of the classroom and test which one works for them.

Topics in the call will not be therapeutic in nature.
